4th International Summer Seminar
with Carsten Møller and Michael Holm

We are happy to invite you to the fourth international summer seminar with Carsten Møller (7. dan) and Michael Holm (6. dan), taking place from Saturday the 12th of July until Thursday the 17th of July.
As per tradition, the seminar will take place in Stevns (50 km south of Copenhagen) – close to both the sea and beautiful nature. So bring your hiking boots and your swimsuit!
There are trains going from Copenhagen to Store Heddinge, and the E47 passes close by.
We are staying at the lovely Danhostel Stevns, Munkevænget 1, 4660 Store heddinge .

Please be aware that there is a limited number of spaces at the hostel.
Rooms are for 2-6 people with 3 meals a day (vegan/vegetarian/omnivore).

(One afternoon will be without teaching, and you will have time to explore local tourist attractions like the “Cold War Museum” or the UNESCO heritage site – or maybe just go to the beach.)
A SPECIAL CELEBRATION – 30 YEARS OF SEMINARS!
The first summer seminar with Doshu Yoshigasaki was held in Denmark in 1995, making this summers seminar a very special 30th anniversary event!
We will mark the occasion with a party on Wednesday the 16th (after the dan examinations!). Hopefully the event will be filled with movies, speeches etc. creating an intimate space, where we can appreciate and reflect on the past and the future of our practice!
In 2024 we did a group-reflection on the question of what Aikido means to each one of us – the result was documented by our good friend from Belgium, Alain de Halleux. You can see the result above. Maybe Alain will bring more Aikido-movies to the celebration – who knows?

It is possible to do dan-examinations at the seminar with Carsten and Michael.

Refunds and cancellations
If you cancel your participation before april 1st, you will get af full refund minus bank-transfer fees.
Regarding refunds for cancellations after the 1st of april; you will be assured a refund for the seminar-fee, refunds for lodging will depend on the final, total number of participants, since we are obliged to book a certain number of rooms at the hostel. We will of course do our best to refund you as much as possible, but the final decision lies with the hostel.
For cancellations after june 1st there is no refund for seminar fee. There is still a possible refund for lodging as pr. above.
